Royal Artillery Tank Museum

N Hillman & Sons secured the contract to renovate and convert the historic South and East Wings of the Royal Laboratory Departments, Royal Arsenal, which historically controlled the manufacture of ammunition, to create a heavy artillery museum.

The Grade 2 listed building in Woolwich required significant restoration and sympathetic renovation to bring it up to the modern standards required to house The Royal Artillery Museum – Firepower. The museum was open to the public from 2001 until 2016.
